What is the "Rose Ceremony"?

• The final Mass that the 8th graders attend at Saint John School of Little Canada is a special event.  The 8th graders are in charge of the Mass, and we say goodbye to each one individually by having a younger sibling or student from the school present him/her with a rose on the altar.  This is different from the Graduation Mass.  We invite you to join us if you can. It's a wonderful way for the entire school to send them off!

When is this Mass?

• This Mass is always the last Wednesday of the year for the 8th graders.  This year it falls on Wednesday, May 22, 2024. Mass begins at 9:10 A.M. and lasts until 10:10 A.M.

What happens after Mass?

• There is some time immediately following the Mass to take pictures of the class on the altar and with family and friends. Then the 8th graders will head back to class for the day.
